Amelia has come full circle to join former colleagues Matt Simpson and Lee Mortimer, co-founders of Oviso.

Amelia, who was previously the founder of Jack Rabbits café opposite Oviso’s headquarters in Queen Street, said: “I am delighted to be working again in property and finance – they are my type of people – positive and client driven.”

Amelia’s career began as an estate agent in 1992 with Ashley Adams on Sadler Gate and she moved into lettings with Professional Properties in 1995.

From 1998 to 2007 she was a financial advisor with Mortgage Advice Bureau, focusing on mortgages and protection from 1999.

She said: “Six years inside residential sales and lettings, along with the business relationships formed and extensive industry knowledge equipped me well when moving into financial services.“Matt joined MAB in Feb 2002 as a trainee and I was his mentor and supervisor. After he qualified, we continued to work as a team until I exited the business in late 2007.

“We have remained great friends, whilst I have also enjoyed a longstanding friendship with Lee, who joined Mortgage Advice Bureau in 2001.”

Since leaving Jack Rabbits in 2015, Amelia has freelanced as a food stylist and writer, business consultant within the food and beverage industry and prepared food for photographic shoots and TV productions.

But she said: “I’ve missed being part of a dynamic team, working on the frontline and dealing directly with clients where I’m able to make a real positive difference and offer advice and assistance during what can often be a fraught or uncertain time.

“Where better to do this than with my old friends and with a company which is known for its brilliant customer service.

“Oviso really care about their clients who stay with them for life.

“Indeed, one of my first acclimatisation assignments, after I joined them, was to observe Matt meeting a couple who were clients of mine in 1999 and were passed on to Matt when I departed the industry. He has continued to provide the same care a great service for them ever since.

“That is surely proof that we are fondly cemented in our clients’ present and future.”
