Oviso completes Cathedral Quarter office refurbishment

Modernisation work at Oviso’s head office on Queen Street, Derby, is now complete. The project focused on creating a more professional and welcoming environment for both clients and staff, with a refurbished meeting room, improved infrastructure and updates to the building itself.

With the aim of enhancing the overall customer experience, the building has also undergone improvements, including the installation of new double-glazed windows on all three floors.

With a focus on preserving the building's character, which in parts dates back to the 1600s, the improvements not only enhance comfort and energy efficiency but also ensure a better working environment and visitor experience.

Oviso co-founder Lee Mortimer commented: “Having acquired the premises in 2018, it’s great to finally open my office window and enjoy some fresh air.”

“Our offices have undergone something of a digital transformation too, including new cabling and smart lighting,” said Lee.

The newly refurbished meeting room has been designed to support both in-person and virtual appointments. As part of the upgrade, the team installed a Yealink video bar featuring a 4K camera with auto-framing and speaker tracking, helping advisors communicate more effectively with clients online. Feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with clients commenting on the room’s modern feel and enhanced technology.

Oviso director Matt Simpson added: “Having modernised the building and upgraded our client room gives a greater sense of professionalism to our business.”

The refurbished meeting rooms will be used for face-to-face and online client meetings as well as staff training, helping Oviso support its continued growth while staying true to its award-winning customer service.
