OVISO sponsors team in charity golf event

Oviso continued its support of local charities by sponsoring a golf team and the second hole in the annual Keith Loring Invitational Golf Day held yesterday.

Co-founder of Oviso Lee Mortimer was joined by Spencer Wright, Mike Pett and David Leatt for the event, held at the highly impressive Manor Course, Morley Hayes in Derbyshire.

The annual event, organised in Keith’s memory by Lesley, Katie and Paul Loring, raises proceeds for the Keith Loring Memorial Fund, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre.

Keith, a former chief executive of both Derby County Football Club and Derbyshire County Cricket Club, was a well-respected, inspirational and generous supporter and mentor for businesses and local charities throughout his life.

The event turned out to be a highly successful one for Oviso. Not only did the team win the ‘Pink Ball’ competition and finish second overall with an impressive 87 points, but on a personal note, Lee Mortimer struck the ball an impressive 305 yards to win the longest drive competition.

Congratulations to all the teams who took part.
